Sergio Blanco and Estibaliz Uranga, both from Bilbao, Spain, met at a concert in 1967 and launched their musical career with the Spanish group Mocedades. In 1972, they left the band to pursue a career as a duo. They were married In 1975; the same year, they represented Spain in the Eurovision Contest in Stockholm with "Tu Volverás."
In 1993, they joined other ex-members of Mocedades, including Amaya (the original lead singer) and Iñaki Uranga, brother of Estibaliz and Amaya, to form El Consorcio. The group's latest album, "Querido Juan," was released in 2008.
