Jonna Jinton, a Swedish artist and filmmaker, ventured into the realm of music with a sense of curiosity and reverence for her cultural roots. Her musical journey, which began in 2016, is marked by her discovery and exploration of "kulning," an ancient Scandinavian singing technique known for its high-pitched calls. This traditional method, once used for communicating with livestock, became the cornerstone and the beginning of Jonna's musical expression.



Along the way she began composing her own songs with inspiration from the untamed beauty of nature, and the mystic melodies of Nordic folklore.
While music is a new avenue for Jonna, her approach is deeply intertwined with her background in visual arts. Her songs are not merely sounds but stories told through a fusion of auditory and visual elements, reflective of the vast, untouched landscapes of her homeland.
