The Green Man is the name of an Italian Neofolk band signed under the italian division of Albin Julius' Hau Ruck. Combining middle eastern sounds to western esoteric tradition, the band provides a unique blend of folk, neofolk and prog rock sounds, dealing with diverse subjects: From Lovecraftean themes to gnostic tales, to apolayptic visions of the future.

So far The Green Man have released two full length cds, the critically acclaimed "From Irem To Summerisle" and "The Teacher And The Man Of Lie" along with a 10" and various participations on compilations.

The Green Man (TGM) - Heiner Kruse from Cologne. He is founder of Basswerk Records (German DnB Label of the Year 2003 & 2004 /Future-Music Awards, 2nd in 2005) and has also has released an album on Combination Records ("You Decide"). As a DJ he goes for Ups and Downs within D&B DJ-Sets, mixing heavy Neurofunk, Dub-& Soul"jungle"-Styles, Rave and some Ragga-influenced tunes. His productions do have a typical, mainly deep and athmospheric Green Man Sound, which usually varies in hardness intensities between spacy chillers to very hard and dark ravetunes. He is playing also Live-Sets.

His most played anthems were Infinity, Illegal, Damn Wire, Feb21st and Ragtime - and his current hit is called Easy (feat. MC Chevy & Dragoon) - released on Basswerk 21, which was voted German D&B Tune of the year in 2004 (www.future-music.net) - and sounds more like funky, electronic Rock-DnB.

Infinity reached the Germans Club Charts No.1 Position for 3 weeks, the video was played on MTV and reached MTV Dance Top 20 and was released in several versions on different labels. Tracks from The Green man (TGM) can also be found in itunes worldwide and Beatport. In 2006, “Chainsmoker” and “Silence” will be released on the UK Label “Soundtrax”.
