Edward H. Dafis was a Welsh language band which existed from 1973 to 1980, comprising the five members Cleif Harpwood, Hefin Elis, Dewi 'Pws' Morris, John Griffiths and Charli Britton. On the albums, 'Hen Ffordd Gymreig o Fyw' and 'Sneb Yn Becso Dam', and frequently in live gigs, they were joined by Geraint Griffiths whose prominent guitar work and vocals can be heard on 'Y Penderfyniad'. This song was co-written by Dewi Morris and Geraint Griffiths.
The band was formed in order to move Welsh language popular music towards a more rock-based sound than the close-harmony singing that dominated the Welsh scene at the time. Five albums were released in total.
