The Moondogs

The Moondogs has been played on NTS shows including Yesterday's News, with Who's Gonna Tell Mary? first played on 17 July 2020.

There are three bands with this name:

The Moondogs (alternatively known as just "Moondogs") was a power pop power trio from Derry in Northern Ireland that had some success in the late 70s and early 80s. Also described as being one of the areas' most melodic and tuneful punk rock groups, they were made up of Gerry McGandless (guitar/vocals), Jackie Hamilton (bass), and Austin Barett (drums). The guys released four singles and one LP, which had the title 'That's What Friends Are For'. The latter was released only in Germany by Sire Records and was mostly unavailable until its 1999-onward bootlegging. Their 1980 single "Who's Gonna Tell Mary?" was later included in the power pop compilation 'Shake Some Action'.

The MoonDogs was an acoustic rock band from New York, New York.

The Moondogs is a psychedelic rock band from Poznań in Poland.
