During 'Wave Form', Aurélien Arbet and Pierre Rousseau explore an interpolation of various recordings, often at the margins of traditional formats and conventional styles of music. During an hour, a long oscillation is formed out of a selection of interviews, spoken word, poetry, music for dance or art, marginal pop attempts and various field recordings. Aurélien Arbet is an art director, co-founder of the clothing brand and publishing house Études. Pierre Rousseau is a composer, producer and sound designer, crafting sounds for records, films, and art projects.

Two hours of dead mall energy from the initial creative flourishings of the vaporwave scene in the late 2000s and early 2010s, from the architects of the sound: Vektroid, Daniel Lopatin and others.

Gene

Gene

Gene has been played on NTS shows including Yesterday's News, with Fighting Fit first played on 2 December 2020.

There are two bands with this name:

1) Gene was a British indie/rock quartet which rose to prominence in the mid-1990s. The band was formed in London by lead singer Martin Rossiter in 1993, and disbanded in 2004.

The line-up comprised Matt James (drummer), Kevin Miles (bassist), Steve Mason (guitarist), and Martin Rossiter (vocalist, keyboards). They were popularly labelled as a Britpop band, and often drew somewhat superficial comparisons to The Smiths, if only because of their slightly Morrissey-esque lead singer, Martin Rossiter.

In truth, Gene's music owed more to acts as diverse as The Jam, Small Faces, The Style Council, and The Clash.

2) GENE (جين) a Syrian neoprogressive rock band, one of the best acts in the Syrian rock scene, they started under the name ZODIAC playing progressive rock songs for bands such as ( Karmakanic ) later on they changed their name to GENE and decide to use Arabic lyrics with the progressive music creating a very unique style of their own, proving again how flexible Arabic language can be.

They are: Maen rajab: Guitars Omar harb: Bass guitar (The Hourglass - Anas & Friends) Shadi Ali: Vocals (Guest in Anas & Friends) Sahel Zen Eldien: Drums Hazem Al-Ani: Piano & Keyboards Anas Abd al-Moumen: Guitars (Anas & Friends)

GENE released their debut self-titled album in August 2008 .
