Sex Vid (or Sex/Vid) is an American hardcore punk band hailing from Washington state, with members residing in both Seattle and Olympia, WA. They have released four 7” records and one 12” on the band’s own DOM America label. Sex Vid grew out of the dissolution of the members’ former bands, HIV and Last Waltz, and quickly gained popularity around the Northwest, then nationwide, then internationally, then broke up.
Members: Judd - vocals RJ - guitar Dave - guitar Sue - bass Sam - drums
“We dig 80’s American hardcore, but we want to take influence from other sources. All the retro 80’s stuff is really fucking dumb. We just want to play heavy, loud music without any sort of costume bullshit or nonsense like that. Just give it our own deal. All that throwback shit seems too much like a one-dimensional re-enactment or something. Weak.”
