Aran has been played on NTS shows including Bodywork w/ Kaili, with Contrail first played on 15 May 2021.

There are several artists called Aran.

1) aran is a Japanese EDM artist born in 1992 who produced his first tracks at the age of 17, gaining skills by re-arranging tracks from his favourite video games. He began making his own tracks and sent demos to some labels, releasing on Maltine Records and 49.5 Recordings. aran was selected as a member of the project “Trio EP” from Otographic Music that aimed to feature undiscovered promising artists from Japan. Then aran joined Otographic Music and moved to the mainstream.

2) Aran is a black metal band from Oulu, Finland. Their debut album, Veden varjoista, released independently in 2020 and reissue by Naturmacht Productions in 2021.

3) Aran were a Belgian folk-group formed in Flanders, Belgium. They named themselves after a group of islands to the West of Ireland: Inis Méain, Inis Oírr and Inis Mórr; These islands were the ultimate refuge for Celtic tribes who had to leave their homelands under Roman pressure. Aran played Celtic and Irish traditional music, with some Canadian and Swedish tunes finding a way into their repertoire.

Before the disbanded, Aran consisted of Jan Ryckebosh (Irish concertflute, addison whistles), Rick Houttekier (guitar, vocals), Jozefien Goethals (violin, concertina, vocals) and Mick Goethals (bodhran, vocals). Houttekier and Goethals moved on to another folk band called Azômô.
