The group consisted of Anna McGarrigle,(born December 4, 1944, Montreal, Quebec) Giles Losier, Jim Hochandal, Ron Dann, Bill Garrett & Tony Bazley. The song Smoker`s Lullaby was recorded in Studio Six at Pearl River Turnaround, Montreal in 1970. Anna McGarrigle one of 3 sisters went on to work with one of her sisters Kate (February 6, 1946 – January 18, 2010) and they recorded 10 albums. The other sister Jane McGarrigle, is a film and television composer who wrote and performed several songs with the duo, but was not a regular collaborator.
