There are at least two bands with the name Signs of Chaos. A British techno/house band and a Canadian metal band.
Signs of Chaos was one of the aliases Lee Newman and Michael Wells used when recording techno and house music in the early 90's.
Newman and Wells formed Greater Than One in London around 1985 to "explore art through performance, recordings, and installations". Their recordings were released on Graeme Revell's Side Effects label, WaxTrax! and ROIR in the USA, Torso in Europe, as well as their own imprint, K=K.
In 1990, they started releasing singles as GTO (an abbreviation of Greater Than One) and Tricky Disco. As the rave scene of exploded, Newman and Wells released singles as John + Julie, Church of Extacy and Signs of Chaos. They went on to release albums and singles under several further aliases including TD5, The Salami Brothers and Technohead.
In 1995, Lee and Newman scored a massive hit with I Wanna Be A Hippy. In August of the same year, Lee Newman passed away after a brief battle with cancer.
