Andreas Kauffelt is a name that carries weight on the electronic music scene. With more than 40 releases and a string of remarkable remixes under his belt for labels such as ASR, Elektrolux, PV, Trope, Electrocute Soundplates, Confused and Superstition among others, he has always been a true originator on the global techno and electro circuit. Born and raised in Frankfurt/Germany, Andreas started composing electronic music already in his early childhood in the mid 80s. After the era of the legendary C64 he soon developed a deep interest in rare and ancient electronic equipment. In 1990 he built up his own studio 'Geheimlabor', already modifying and manipulating electronic equipment in order to create his very own style of music. He soon completed early production work with Michael Krieg, which resulted in three well received 12"s on Thomas Heckmann's Uptown label in 1993. A year later he founded his own imprint Aural Satisfaction Records (ASR). The debut release of the label entitled 'Aural Traxx Vol.1' became a firm favourite with many DJs and received amazing support from magazines around the world.
