Mexican record label, Naafi, settle in at NTS for a showcase of the weirdest experimentations in club culture that have bubbled to the surface of Soundcloud. Dazed rhythms converging into Jersey stutters, and tumblr-era trap for two straight hours on a Monday.

Huvudtvätt

Huvudtvätt

Huvudtvätt has been played on NTS in shows including La Vida es un Mus , featured first on 8 April 2022. Songs played include Borsten and Disinfect.

There are at least two artists named Headcleaners: (1) Early eighties swedish HC punk group, also called Huvudtvätt. (2) Early eighties norwegian group associated with the industrial field.

(1) Ancient Swedish hardcore punk.

HEADCLEANERS- disinfection 7"EP (Malign Massacre Records, HCP-01, 1981, Sweden) Another HUVUDTVÄTT monster! Especially the b-side fucking kills with some re-recorded songs that were originally sung in swedish and now are in english! The HEADCLEANERS without any doubt were the best swedish HC (or call it Punk, if you like) band ever - and considering the fact that this country had A LOT of killer bands, this really means something!!! Not to forget that their style was so unique and driving, all later HC bands at least from sweden had surely drawn many influences from these pioneers. This babe was re-released with different (horrible) sleeve art in ca. 1990. 500 made. ?$. Side 1: Dying In Maze / Kill The Royalties / Death Threat Side 2: Where Is Disinfect / Over The Wall / Police Perversities

HEADCLEANERS (HUVUDTVÄTT)- s/t 7"EP (Malign Massacre Records / Massproduktion MASS Z 6, 1982, Sweden) Here we go for more HEADCLEANERS (or in swedish: HUVUDTVÄTT) - madness! After the enormous success of the first two slabs (the split 7"EP and the "Disinfection" 7"EP, as well as first compilation tape apperances), the band's own (?) label "Malign Massacre" together with "Massproduktion" (the premier swedish punk label) decided to release an export 7"EP compiled with material from the previously released vinyls. As said earlier, the split 7"EP side was chosen for side a of this and on side b, the put 3 songs from "Disinfection". Too bad they only pressed a meager 300 copies of this (issued with different sleeve colors - I've seen white and red ones too). A total killer, of course! You can't go wrong with this band - and their releases are all highly collectible and look really wonderful with their own graphic style! 300 made. ?$. Side 1: Smutsig Byk / Huvudtvätt / Manglad / Torktumlaren / Stryk / Ren Lögn Side 2: Dying In Maze / Kill The Royalties / Death Threat

It's almost unbelievable, but this was recorded in 1981. They got the Discharge meets early Touch & Go sound even before those were fully developed (in fact, I don't know much about the band to say how much they were influenced by that stuff or how long they went their own way), so there's no fucking way this isn't the first European HC vinyl. Superior to the other classic Swedish hardcore 7"s like Skitlickers and Anti-Cimex, the whole cult status of this band is totally justified. The first track, "Dying In A Maze", with that 'melody meets power' musical backbone and the hoarse but expressive vocals, is nothing but amazing. The other songs are also great brutal punk, with a very good sound. This definitely falls within the category of "must have", and if you find it hard to get a copy of this, don't panic, somebody will be releasing it again sooner or later. One minor complaint is the poor/minimal packaging, especially being an official reissue of a classic record.
