Ashok Prema

Ashok Prema

Ashok Prema has been played on NTS shows including Sounds Of The Dawn, with Foundation & Empire first played on 23 April 2022.

Ashok has been playing Electronic Music for over 20 years. His first interest as a child lay in Hindi film music now termed 'Bollywood' . He became interested in synthesisers after listening to Tangerine Dream's album 'Phaedra' which lead him to buy a synthesiser to emulate that music. He has since performed at various venues throughout the UK before getting signed up to the BMG/Multitone label on which he released his first cd 'Of Times & Places'. He followed this with subsequent releases under the Champagne Lake Productions label and more recently under the AD Music label. Heavily influenced by Tangerine Dream but always having an 'ethnic' feel as a result of his roots. He has recently switched his attention back to Bollywood under atag 'Electronic Bollywood' producing his own versions of Bollywood hits…this time with an 'electronic' feel to his output combined with his own self taught improvisations.
