Vorgruppe has been played on NTS in shows including Solid State Survivor w/ Shags Chamberlain, featured first on 17 May 2022. Songs played include Mensch Im Eis and V.E.B.A..

New wave band from Herne, Germany. Formed in spring 1979, played their first proper live gig at Jugendkunstschule Wanne-Eickel (15 Feb 1980). They released three albums from 1981 to 1986. Members: Bernd Schäumer, Detlef Ritz, Matthias Brauckmann, Volker Stigge, Waldemar Hayduk, Wolfgang Hemprich. They changed their Name in "The Vorgruppe" in 1986.
