$ludgehammer has been played on NTS in shows including Mamiko Motto, featured first on 13 February 2015. Songs played include Im Cool and My Chain.

Ryan Gregory (Known as $LUDGEHAMMER) was a producer/rapper from Florida. He was prolific throughout the years of 2011-2014 at a relative young age (17 - 21 years old). His music would contain absolutely anything that peaked his interest: witch house, trap music, footwork, cloud rap, house music and the list goes on.

He released his first mixtape 'VOLUME 5 MILLION - FOR DA WINTER OF 4EVA' in 2011. Later in november of 2011 he released #SLIMEGAZE.

In 2012 he released a mixtape (A .ZIP AND A DOUBLE CUP), an EP (Slime Journey) and a split with Karmelloz. Asides from those, he started gaining traction for working with Yung Simmie and Ethelwulf (who were from Raider Klan) and producing a song for Lil B.

2013 was the last relevant year for Ryan. He dropped his compilation 'SELECTED TRAXXX 2011-2013' around march and sorta dipped out.

In 2014 he dropped his last EP ' $LUDGEHAMMER WINTER 2014 (MIXED) ' on the old Nightcore Records bandcamp.

He went "MIA" for a couple of years, deleting a lot of old videos, songs, and tumblr blogs. In 2015, he changed his alias to 'Smokefuneral', but as of 30/7/23 there were no songs under this alias. He later changed it to 'Sludgehammer housespider100', as well as changing the name of the bandcamp to housespider100.

In early 2021, it was confirmed by close friends and Ryan's brother that he passed away.
