Mykel…a brief history Born in the east bay of San Francisco, California, Mykel (aka Michael Dicus) caught on to his love for singing when he successfully quieted an auditorium of the toughest teenagers a high school could endure when he sang his first duet … “All Cried Out”- Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam
Mykel moved through high school into doing every musical he was cast in and writing all the melodies his mind and fingers could conjure. Mykel finally took a leap of faith and found himself at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy with his eyes on the lights of Broadway… After a few years of national tours, cruise ships, off-off Broadway experimental theater intertwined with his passion for songwriting and his flavor for rock and blues, Mykel evolved as a recording artist… rock singer… television personality… a well rounded entertainer…
NOW in 2009… Mykel simply hit the ground being drug by his ankles!
Tone 1 Music and Qopel Records are his newest partners in getting Mykel into your mp3 players, laptops, desk tops, dj booths and concert halls!
