Memorials

Memorials

Memorials has been played on NTS shows including Hot Mess, with There Are Other Worlds first played on 6 January 2023.

There are at least three bands with the name "Memorials."

1). MEMORIALS is the new band of Verity Susman (Electrelane’s frontwoman) and Matthew Simms (Wire,Better Corners, It Hugs Back, UUUU). Formed in 2023. As a duo these multi-instrumentalists cover plenty of ground onstage, juggling instruments in a set up resembling that of a 5-piece band. Their sound touches on the many points for which they are known, veering from melodic songwriting to psychedelic noise, free jazz freak outs, tape loops and drones, and then back again. www.memorialsmusic.com

Memorials are a blend of heavy riffs and beautiful melodies in vein of The Carrier and Killing The Dream, obviously with their own twist on it all. Unique vocals, spectacular lyrics (rough English translations on their myspace) with expert instrument work makes Memorials a band to keep your eye on in the near future. They show boundless passion and spectacular potential, expect to be hearing a lot more from Memorials soon as they are in the works of recording a 7" EP to be released mid 2011.

Jordan, Nick and Jake got together and formed Memorials in the early summer of 2011. Tight bros/dudes from Highland Heights, KY USA… various emo and hardcore influences… including west coast screamo acts such as: Beau Navire, Moldar, and Iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook… as well as hardcore bands like: American Nightmare, Breath In, and Kids Like Us… Also, they all love Boys Night Out and the Wu-Tang Clan. They love to drink your beer. They are putting out a DIY hand numbered 7" in the winter of 2012. Rad. http://www.reverbnation.com/memorialskramz
