Alex Goose (born 1985) is a music producer currently based in Los Angeles, California. He is perhaps best known for his album “The Blueprint 3 Outtakes”, a compilation of tracks submitted to the Roc Nation label for use in Jay-Z’s 2009 LP release, none of which made the final cut. After letting a number of people, including some who knew Jay-Z personally, hear what he had sent to Roc Nation, he was encouraged to make what he had produced available to the public.
One of Goose’s most frequent collaborators has been rapper Danny! (aka Danny Swain), whom he met whilst studying at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia. Goose produced the track “Lip Flappin” on Danny’s Grammy-nominated 2006 album “Charm”, as well as a further three songs on the critically acclaimed 'And I Love H.E.R.: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack'. Other artists Goose has recently worked with include Jake Troth, Graham Knox, Brittany Bosco and U.S. Royalty. For the latter, he contributed production, writing and arrangement to two songs ("The Mirror" & "Hollywood Hollows") on their new album "Mirrors". Other Goose projects currently in development include Jake Troth's "Daydream Big" and "21", a solo instrumental album.
Goose lists his influences as Serge Gainsbourg, Ennio Morricone, Bob Dylan, DJ Premier, Dr. Dre and the Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting and production team amongst others.
