Tanya Carmen (Jackson). A powerful yet sensitive, full of emotion and nuances voice, that conquers all who hear her. A mix of Sade, Tony Braxton and the warmth of Laura Fygi, all in one. She interprets every song her own special way and differently every night. She truly became a first class entertainer and a professional singer and teacher now. She recorded "PILLOW TALK" song in 1983 along with "TWISTED LOVE" song, not her style of music but did it for the experience. She kept the name Tanya but changed the Jackson for Carmen to make TANYA CARMEN.

Born in Montreal, Canada, she is a Canadian citizen. She is also a permanent USA resident since 1994. Tanya has lived in USA since the mid eighties then went back and forth to perform in Canada. Educated in Canada in English and French she can sing in English, French but also in Spanish and Italian.

Tanya’s life is music. She has performed in many 5 Stars Hotels and Resorts in Canada and in the USA. She has appeared on Canadian radio and television with her “PILLOW TALK” hit in 1983 under the name of Tanya Jackson with Matra Records. Been in the 5 best on the Billboard along with the song “TWISTED LOVE” that went on top of Holland Billboard chart.

While Tanya’s focus is on the future, many of her musical influences are drawn from the past. Her father being a trumpet player in a big band for many years, influenced her music directions, she heard, learned Jazz and the Standards throughout her younger life listening to, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra - to mention just a few. Later added R&B, Pop, Latin and classical songs to her huge repertoire.

“My destiny and goal is simple,” says Tanya. “I sing to charm, touch, entertain and conquer every audience I perform for. My voice is a gift, and I use it to open every one’s hearts to music. I want to see my audience come back, night after night and week after week, to become part of my customary crowd”. I know about setting my sound and equipment to a perfect rich volume, never too loud, it is one of my main concern to succeed making everyone in the audience happy and create THE perfect ambiance for a memorable night they will not forget.

Tanya is also a teacher and a coach for artists, she created an accelerated vocal technique to make it easy and fast to learn all about your voice. She will bring to life an individual style into a great confident performer that will emerge from others, stand out, shine, impress and move audiences, live or in a studio environnement performance.
