The Freak Scene has been played on NTS in shows including Mount Analog w/ Mahssa, featured first on 16 March 2015. Songs played include A Million Grains Of Sand, Mind Bender and My Rainbow Life.

The Freak Scene was a studio only psychedelic rock group that came out of The Deep. Both formed in 1967 and disbanded in 1967, they released one album, Psychedelic Psoul, considered the first purely psychedelic themed record released on Columbia records.

Rusty Evans was the group's producer and writer. Musicians include David Bromberg, Victoria Pike (song writer and wife of Teddy Randazzo) and others, who all carried over and continued an acid theme from their previous incarnation The Deep.
