Mandy Morton is a British folk singer who began her career with the cult 70s British folk-rock band Spriguns. After Spriguns disbanded in 1978, Morton signed for Polydor Scandinavia, where she gained quite a following, gradually moving away from her folk roots and in the 1980s touring with a conventional rock band Mandy Morton Band. Returning to England, she worked for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire from 1986. Subsequently, she has worked as a freelance arts journalist for national and local radio.
