Winnie Lado is a writer, poet and singer from south Sudan, since recently based in Uganda. Her genre of music is soul and she mostly performs solo while playing her guitar. She started doing music from the age of 10 years old. She learned music from her family. She started performing in church in the Sunday school presentations to the main church, then in school open days to parents and other audiences attending. She later on joined a Band called the Bees. She also did performance in the French Cultural Center in Khartoum, Sudan. There she did collaborations with other artists both from Sudan and France. She was also hosted by the Sudanese TV the Blue Nile TV.
