ATLANTA
21:00 - 22:00

Georgia-based underground icon Cartier'God plays only original productions in this guest hour, floating somewhere between house rap, cloud rap, and experimental pop.

Los Angeles
21:00 - 22:00

Tana Yonas collects songs like souvenirs, each recalling precious moments found leafing through dusty foreign record shops or catching sonic fragments weathered by time from the radio of bumpy taxi rides. Listen as she delicately guilds together these memories and shares music from lesser known and under represented musical traditions from across the globe and decades.

Hanadensha

Hanadensha

Hanadensha has been played on NTS shows including The Athenian Marketplace , with Acoustic Mothership first played on 30 August 2023.

Hanadensha is a project featuring featuring former Boredoms bassist Hira on vocals.

Hanadensha's sound was first rooted in noise rock but quickly mutated into something more spaced-out, seemingly influenced by kosmische, dub and traditional music.

The psychedelic era of the band began in 1995 with the release of 'Narcotic Guitar' which was more rooted in rock than the two EPs that followed it, 'Astral Pigmy Wave' and 'Acoustic Mothership'. They feature long, blissed out atmospheric pieces with seemingly infinite layers of electronics, guitar and synth. Their last EP 'Doobie Shining Love' contains more structured material in the vein of "Narcotic Guitar" with renewed emphasis on vocals and drums.

Reviews of the Hanadensha catalogue can be found here.
