Over the years, hip hop has gone through many changes. Change can be both good or bad. Well, hip-hop out of Hawaii is a good thing. Chris Jay has a goal to show everyone who enjoys hip-hop that its not all about ukuleles and drums. Chris Jay was born on the Big Island. At the age of 18 he moved to Honolulu for college but not forgetting about his musical roots. He has since than released a mixtape entitled "A Friendly Reminder" and is currently working on his sophomore mixtape titled "Redemption". Everyday he is finding ways to perfect his craft. With an underground lyrical flow but a mainstream sound, Chris is always finding ways to stand out with his music. Chris carries on his shoulders, Change. For many years people have never seen the true potential of Hawaii Hip-Hop. And Chris Jay hopes he will be the one to show the true potential of Hawaii Hip-Hop.
