Enayet is the son and disciple of Ustad Hamid Hossain, a well known musician based in USA. His grandfather, Ustad Kader Buksh was a renowned musician in India as well. Learning from the age of 5 Enayet grew up in the United States. He has accompanied musicians such as Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pandit Jasraj, Shujaat Khan, Budhaditya Mukherjee, Salamat Ali Khan, Ghulam Mustafa, Ronu Majumdar to name a few. Enayet has played throughout the United States and India. He has over 20 CDs to his credit and has appeared in many DVDs. Enayet is a versatile percussionist easily switching from Indian classical, to light classical and fusion music. He has toured all over India, the United States and Europe. His work in fusion and Indian classical music has been recognized and he has been recently been made a full fledged voting member for the Grammy Awards given out by the Recording Academy.
