Tempo O'Neil established himself as a singer, age of 14 on Reggae Sound Systems, under the name Sugar Brown. His 1st and earliest experience started with smaller sounds, Sir Demus Inter, Sir Graphics, Studio Magic, Diamonds A Girls Best Friend, and built up to Unity Sound with (Demon rocker and Flinty Badman of Shut up & dance) to singing for Saxon sound system (Sugar Brown) and touring the UK & Jamaica Kingston with Jack Ruby’s Sound system, where he would hear and perform amongst top acts, Maxi Priest, Smiley Culture, Tipper Ire, Daddy Colonel, Papa San, Sanchez D, Philip Levi and Courtney Melody etc also appear on Montego Bay sound Tika music but seeing these artists perform at there peek showed him how to entertain and also inspired his impulsive improvised delivery.

Tempo’s songs in reggae always had a mix of styles from a Jamaican influence and also deliver a very soulful edge from a rhythm n blues influence. This expanded a lot more when he began working with Soul n Swingbeat, producers and musicians. Those experiences brought him to perform at venues like London Tabernacle (Notting Hill) and the NEC Clothes Show in Birmingham with up an coming UK group “Damage” On BBC Radio 1 stage.

Tempo O’Neil found his first release with the new excitement of underground, Acid House music. The influence of dub brought the transition to (Ragga house) which became known as “Jungle”. Tempo had been involved with record label Big City Records, ‘Just for you London’, artist Body Snatch, Brain records, Twisted Mentasm, Everyday Junglist and worked with (S.O.U.R.) producers of artist such as Shy Fx, Uk apache and Elizabeth Troy. Then to work with producers TuffJam at State51. The Track (You’re my Inspiration, featured In a European Rave Film Naar De Klote! EVA, Keep Holdin irecords), London Connection and Bagley studios label Crosstracks. Destination London Town & Dubplate Culture (Zomba). This would lead him to perform around the uk at Wembley Conferrence Centre, European festivals in Majorca, Barcelona, South of France, Serbia, Cyprus and South Africa and Perform on stage with artists such as US House singers Robert Owens and Michael Watford.

Traveling from studio to studio around London he linked up with Carl MacIntosh of (Loose ends) which was an inspiration to work with and from watching him and other label producer’s Schatrax (Barcelona) and Alienfunk/Primary Sequence put their music together reinforced the logic for Tempo to go forward and produce his own music and start his new label ‘Liberation Party’. This is a new beginning and venture into his visionary view into music called Elements, which made Tempo O’Neil. His first track has featured on BBC radio 6 Tom Robinson show ‘Outter Limits’ and opened and closed the show with this track.
