Anagrams formed in Brighton, England, in 2007 and split in December 2011.

The band comprised David Wheeldon (vocals/guitar), Ollie Elmes (guitar), Chris Woolner (bass) and Iain Worrall (drums). Worrall was replaced by Pete Hovard in August 2011.

Their debut album, "We Form A Shelter" was released in February 2011 on Aspidistra Records, and drew comparisons to the textured guitar work of Pavement and Radiohead, the space-rock of A Storm In Heaven-era Verve and the dense instrumental passages of Mogwai.

In their four years together, the band supported the likes of The Antlers, Wooden Shjips, The Joy Formidable, Cashier No.9 and The Phantom Band.
