Shang Shang Typhoon has been played on NTS in shows including Phambinho , featured first on 16 April 2024. Songs played include Let It Be.

Shang Shang Typhoon (上々颱風) is a 6-piece Japanese band with shamisen as a prominent instrument and features other traditional Japanese and regional folk instruments. It began as Kôryû and the Himawari Sisters in 1980, but the band changed its name to Shang Shang Typhoon in 1986.

The band has been on hiatus since February 2013 but have stated they have no plans to permanently disband.
