Mother's Pride

Mother's Pride

Mother's Pride was first played on NTS on 28 October 2014. Songs played include Floribunda (Andy Mowat Remix).

There are at least three bands called Mother's Pride (and to make matters even more confusing: at least two of them have also released material credited to Mothers Pride).

Mother's Pride a pop/rock band from Lucerne, Switzerland. Established in 1989, they split up in 2001 and played their final show at the Schüür in Lucerne. Until their breakup Mother's Pride had national hits, such as 'Pretend' and 'Goodbye/Suicide' from their album Half Past Heartache, as well as 'My Baby Loves You' from their final album, Tommy Drives Me Home. They had a major deal with Sony.

Line Up: Tobi Gmür - Vocals, Guitar, Samuel Gallati - Vocals, Guitar, Tommy Suter - Drums, Nina E. - Bass (Nina E. joined the band in 1998).

The band reformed in 2007, but skipped the apostrophe for the occasion. Post-2007 work has been credited to Mothers Pride instead, including the album Mothers Pride (2007).

Mother's Pride (sometimes spelled Mothers Pride) was a psychedelic rock band from Bolton, United Kingdom, active around 1968. Barry Lord and Will Worthington had previously been in Atlanta Roots. In Mother's Pride they were joined by Paul Travis (guitar, vocals), Howard Robinson (bass) and Des Kendrick (drums). They recorded several original songs that were never released at the time, but saw the light of day on 21st century compilation of British psychedelic rock, including 'Mother's Magazine'.

Mother's Pride is a ska and reggae band from Germany. Since their early beginnings in 1989 they have played more than 400 concerts, including opening shows for legends like Desmond Dekker, Laurel Aitken, Rico Rodriguez, The Specials, Bad Manners, The Selecter and Macka B. Constant touring took the band not only through Germany but also to France, Spain, Slovenia and Austria. Line-up: Berry - Guitar, Eckert - Drums, Yaari - Bass, Meyer - Vocals, JB - Organ, Roland - Alto-Sax, Achim - Tenor-Sax, Till - Trumpet, Johann - Trombone
