TWIG from Stockholm, SWE Twig from Boston, USA (1992-1996)1.) TWIG are a Stockholm based pop band consisting of Henrik Lindén, Mathias Nilsson, and Joakim Bengtsson. The group started out as Laura Drum but later changed their name to TWIG. Their debut album, Life After Ridge, was released on Plastilina Records in the summer of 2008. http://www.myspace.com/twigsweden
2.) Twig were a Boston band that existed from 1992-1996. They consisted of Trisha Matthews (Guitar, Vocals), Julie Kantner (Guitar, Vocals), Niels LaWhite (Bass), and Ramona Herboldsheimer (Drums). Following the breakup of their previous band Fertile Virgin, guitarists Julie and Trisha joined with Niels , and Ramona to form the band Twig. They released 2 singles on Harriet Records "Fall of Love"/"Riff", and "I Never Knew"/"Parade". These were followed by compilation appearances on SpinArt, Pop Narcotic, and Harriet releases among others. Not long after headlining one of two nights celebrating Harriet Records 5th birthday in 1995, the band retired to the studio to record "As The Twig Is Bent So Grows The Tree" their only CD release. Soon after its release on Candy Floss in 1996, the band ceased to exist. Julie and Niels currently play together in the band Uranium Daughters.
