(1) Quinie (Josie Vallely) is based in Glasgow and explores traditional Scots song. Inspired largely by Scots singers including the repertoire of Lizzie Higgins (1929-1993), she brings together a range of sources and sparse accompaniments.

She is interested in exploring short form Scots song. Her repertoire focuses on stories sung from women’s perspectives and collages of different source material.
