Hiroshi Miyagawa was a Japanese composer best known as the composer of the soundtrack to the 1974 television series Space Battleship Yamato.
A graduate of Osaka Art University, Miyagawa first gained success in the 1960s as a writer for pop artists (such as The Peanuts) and singles for films. However it was his work on Yamato that brough him his most enduring fame.
Hiroshi Miyagawa died of heart failure in 2006.
