MXM (also known as MXM (BRANDNEW BOYS)) was a project unit under Brand New Music. The unit consisted of Lim Young-Min (임영민) and AB6IX Kim Dong-Hyun (김동현). The name MXM stands for both "Mix and Match" and "More x More". The former refers to the duo’s compatibility as a group despite contrasting qualities, while the latter refers to their determination to develop as a duo. Both members participated in the survival show PRODUCE 101 but neither ended up making the final 11.
They released their first single "Good Day" on July 27, 2017. They debuted two months later on September 6 with the extended play UNMIX. The extended play includes seven tracks, including "Good Day". On January 10, 2018, they released their second extended play MATCH UP along with title track "Diamond Girl".
On March 6, MXM released double singles "Gone Cold" and "Love Me Now". Both songs were included on MXM's first full album MORE THAN EVER, released on August 14, 2018.
