Burning Star Core has been played on NTS shows including Lukid, with The Point Of Departure Is Not To Return first played on 29 May 2014.

Burning Star Core is the brainchild of violinist / vocalist / electronic improviser C. Spencer Yeh. He started it in Cincinnati, Ohio, but has since moved to Brooklyn, NYC. Occasionally, a small rotating cast of improvisers join him to play bigger events including Mike Shiflet, and Trevor Tremaine and Robert Beatty of Hair Police.
