My NTS
Live now
1
Manchester
18:00 - 20:00

A little bit sweet, a little bit sad, a little bit silly - Lupini keeps it (mainly) horizontal with a mix of dubwise sounds, psychedelic rock, synth-pop and new wave.

2
North Carolina
18:11 - 20:08

New York based artist, musician and NTS resident Rahill presents a two-hour deep dive into Coltrane's prolific volume of work on Impulse, arguably the most important US jazz label of all time.

Juliet Roberts

Juliet Roberts

Juliet Roberts has been played over 10 times on NTS, first on 12 June 2014. Juliet Roberts's music has been featured on 14 episodes.

Juliet is a stalwart of the British pop, jazz, and dance industry. She's performed and recorded with the perennial jazz ensemble Working Week, provided backup session vocals for too many artists to name here, taught aspiring teen viewers some vocal performance basics via British television's "Rock School" series, and recorded under her own name- mostly in close association with producer/mixer/musical impresario "Dancin' Danny D." Poku, who also ushered a young Cathy Denis to fame and fortune.

Juliet's material has encompassed traditional jazz interpretation as well as contemporary R&B , hip-hop influenced Brit-pop, and full-on House Anthems (most notably "Caught Up in the Middle", which stormed world dance charts in a variety of gospel-tinged remixes in 1994). She is an excellent example of the "workaday" talent that exists behind the scenes of the industry; usually fortifying the efforts of "name" artists, but occasionally breaking out on its own terms for the much-earned "hit" here and there.
