Julien plaisir de. Originally playing whatever makes noises in a Nantes dodgy pop band influenced by seminal bands like My Bloody Valentine, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, The Pixies ,sarah records, ,New Order ,les Smiths ,B-52s or Etienne Daho ? Julien Barthe turned into djing in rave parties after being thrown into the dance craze in 1992 dancing his ass off a Laurent Garnier ,Aquarium & PH ,Jeff Mills ,Tom & Jerry Bouthier dj sets, Mike Ink acid sounds. Julien developed from there his djing style by playing in all the key parties in the Brittany area in France and made his first international appearance in Amsterdam in 1999. Juliens got his first breakthrough as a producer with Boris Herv as Plaisir de France, thanks to his encounter with the Pro Zak crew in 2000 and released several EPs that have being playlisted by djs from all across the house board. But its his collaboration with Dan Ghenacia that really took Julien to the international light. Started as a production team under the name of Sweetlight & Dan Ghenacia (with a release on David Duriez label Brique Rouge), Julien continued the Sweetlight project with his production mate Alexis Desaegher on Dan Ghenacias label FreaK nChic. The two EPs that followed Mechaniques Remontees and Abusator are both huge dancefloor hits.hammered by Ivan Smagghe ,Tiga,Chloé ,Too Many Djs,Albator etc.. Currently Julien work alone ( before with Alexis Desaegher ,Boris H, on several Sweetlight maxis & remixes for labels like Kitsun (feat Muriel Moreno),Freakn Chic,Lucy Lee rec,Coma records Julien install his studio in Paris & carrying on spinning all over Europe.
