Halogenix

Halogenix has been played on NTS in shows including You'll Soon Know w/ Tim Parker, featured first on 6 August 2014. Songs played include Satisfy My Soul, Keeping You Close and PFTD.

Halogenix, a North London artist, defies easy categorization through his multifaceted career in music. Born into a musical family—his father being a French horn player for the London Symphony Orchestra—Halogenix's journey into music was practically predestined. After exploring various instruments and styles, he found his niche at 170BPM, where he could explore, innovate, and push boundaries without constraint. His ascent began with a notable appearance on Noisia's Invisible imprint with 'Askari' shortly after debuting his beats in 2011. Subsequently, he co-founded the acclaimed D&B collective Ivy Lab in 2012, contributing to groundbreaking tracks such as '20 Questions', 'Baby Grey', and 'Thirsty'. Ivy Lab's impact extended globally, influencing the halftime movement and launching the careers of several artists. Parallel to his work with Ivy Lab, Halogenix maintained a dynamic solo career, marked by releases on Critical Music's Systems series and a debut EP on Metalheadz titled 'All Blue'. Notably, his collaboration with drum & bass legend Goldie on 'Broken Man' showcased his versatility and innovation. In 2017, Halogenix released two pivotal EPs: 'Jump Suit' on 1985 Music and 'Velvet' on Critical Music, with tracks like 'Blej' gaining widespread acclaim and nominations for Best Production at Drum&Bass Arena Awards. Continuing his prolific output, Halogenix's 2018 saw the release of the 'Deep News' EP and his involvement in The Upbeats' 'No Sleep' project, further solidifying his position as a diverse and forward-thinking producer and DJ in the drum & bass scene. Halogenix's collaborations span from Alix Perez to Goldie, with remixes for prominent artists like BANKS and Maverick Sabre. His discography extends across labels such as Vision, Division, Shogun Audio, and Ram Records, showcasing his continual exploration and innovation in electronic music. As his career evolves, Halogenix remains an enigmatic figure, constantly revealing new dimensions with each release, collaboration, and project, ensuring that his next chapter is as exciting as ever.
