Albert Malawi has been played on NTS in shows including Ross Allen, featured first on 29 October 2014. Songs played include Give Me Loving, Jah Bible (Version) and Looking For Signs.

Albert Malawi, born Albert Russell Johnson, st. Andrew, Jamaica came to Alpha Boys School in 1966. He attended the school alongside Fish Clarke (Johnny Clarke's brother), Leroy Smart & Lennie Hibbert and he learned to play drums there. By demand of Sister Ignatius, he also became selector of the Alpha sound system for 3 years. He was nicknamed Turbit (after the fish with hard bones). He is a member of the twelve tribe of Israel, Jamaica. He went on to play drums for, among others, reggae royalty like Sugar Minott, Augustus Pablo and Dennis Brown.
