With 13 years of djing experience behind him, Owen Jay has became a household name in Malta. He is arguably the only DJ on the island playing the deepest sounds from the house music genre.
The extensive range of venues (Plastic People, Tresor, Supperclub, Cave Club, Club Geluk, Fluid Groove, Groovetech Radio/London, etc.) and countries (Germany, England, Holland, Austria, Canada & Belgium etc.) that Owen Jay has performed at showcase his musical versatility, and this is one of his strongest attributes, enabling him to play anything from lounge, jazzy & soulful house to deep Detroit grooves & Minimal techno. He has played alongside renowned talents such as Mike Grant, Boo Williams, Frankie Valentine, Charles Webster , Pepe Bradock, Daniel Wang, Norman Jay, Josh Wink, Dj Sneak, Claude Young, Surgeon, Carsten Jost and Sven Van Hees.
What sets him apart from other DJs is the music at his disposal. He is part of the Sonic Mecca organisation and currently performs a weekly radio show 'Beats of Soul' on XFM 100.2, every sunday 8- 10pm.
