Dangerfield

Dangerfield

Dangerfield has been played on NTS in shows including Brown Acid Trippin' w/ Lance Barresi of Permanent Records, featured first on 27 February 2025. Songs played include Rockpile.

Members: Carlyle - Vocals/Guitars; Ryan - Drums; Joe - Guitars; James - Bass

Sounds Like: Thin Lizzy, My Morning Jacket, Iron Maiden, The Foo Fighters

A true rock 'n' roll band with a throwback feel, the sound of Dangerfield stretches across decades of rock music. No gimmicks, just balls to the wall playing. By not being confined to a certain genre Dangerfield has been compared to bands as diverse as Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden to My Morning Jacket and the Foo Fighters.

Dangerfield was formed in early 2010, but the members have put many years into the local scene and have enjoyed some past success. They have been able to use their experience with a DIY approach to get off to a very fast start.

At its core Dangerfield truly is a live band, and it's apparent the minute they take the stage. Their energetic, hard-rocking shows are loud and passionate. This is a memorable band whose exciting live performances you will want to see again.

Dangerfield is led by Carlyle Nowak on vocals and lead guitar. Already an accomplished drummer (Heart of a Failure and WAMI award winning Blue Background), Carlyle has stepped out from behind the drums to front the band. In his place behind the kit is Ryan Igielski (Big Dumb Dick and Deflection), providing solid, powerful drums. Completing the band is a pair of brothers, making their second go-around in a band together. Joe Fuerst (Ka-tet) is not your average rhythm guitar player. More like a second lead, Joe’s unique style is a perfect complement to Carlyle’s guitar work. Bringing the low end is James Fuerst (Sore, Ka-Tet) on bass. With technical prowess and a 6-string bass, James is fully capable of bringing just a little funk to the table.
