We Wait For The Snow

We Wait For The Snow

We Wait For The Snow has been played on NTS in shows including Don't Trip w/ Margarita, featured first on 16 March 2015. Songs played include Awakening In The Forest and Dialogue With A Caribou Skull.

We Wait for the Snow is a project from Rome, Italy, formed in the Winter of 2004/05 by Andrea Penso (already active with Selaxon Lutberg and Cold Current Production), helped by his old friend Simone Zuccolin. The sound is deliberately lo-fi, and it is created exclusively with economical instruments: acoustic and electric guitars, cheap keyboards, accordion, flute, various non-musical objects, toy percussion, tapes, etc. The aim is creating a confidential atmosphere through the balance between "dream" and "sadness". It is possible to find a sense of precarious balance in the songs that alternate moments of pure improvisation with much more studied and controlled tracks. The band's first official album, "Lullabies From Our Dreams", was released in 2007. It contains songs about dreams, lullabies and tales from the forest, stories of stones, woods, leaves, dead men, big trees, and girls that speak with demons.
