She was also a writer, editor, actress, and documentary filmmaker known by her married name Shusha Guppy. Her first British release, in 1971, was an album of traditional Persian music, complementing her first album released in France fourteen years earlier (that earlier release in the late 1950s was under the name Chucha Assar). By then, influenced by the Folk Revival, she was writing and singing some of her own songs, as well as covering the works of many contemporary singer-songwriters. She gave successful concerts in Britain, America and continental Europe, and appeared on television and radio programmes. She continued to release albums until the mid-90s.

2) Shusha is a Georgian rock band formed in Tbilisi in 2010. The Band currently comprising: lead vocalist Megi Bezhuashvili' guitarist Medea Bezhuashvili, bassist Kate Shioshvili and drummer Archil Shioshvili.
