Brazilian singer (Jun 16,1925 São Paulo - Jul 22, 1986 São Paulo). Biggest hit: "Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar" (Tom Jobim/Vinícius de Moraes), 1959. She contributed to confirm the nascent popularity of the duo with an LP dedicated to their compositions with several songs recorded for the first time, "A Música de Jobim e Vinicius". Teacher by profession, she also worked as a crooner in nightclubs and worked many years at the Rádio and TV Record (São Paulo). Another hit: "A Noite Do Meu Bem" (Dolores Duran). In 1951, she was awarded with the Roquette Pinto Trophy as best singer. In Rio, she was hired by Rádio Nacional. Her career was interrupted in the '70s, after the demise of her husband Agostinho dos Santos (dead in a flight crash in Paris). She returned to her artistic activities singing in a São Paulo nightclub in 1975.
