Elio Riso has been played on NTS shows including Ben Sims Presents: Run It Red, with Its Alright (Original Mix) first played on 21 February 2015.

By no other way could be in Elio Riso, an italian-root argentinian who believes in great parties, nice people and specially in good music. His affair with music begins by the end of 80’s and nowadays it is his funniest and most faithful lover.

Elio Riso is not only a dj but also a well-known producer, since his remixes are worth to be noticed. Hence, there’s a whole new way in popular argentinian music. He is an experienced producer with a big variety of influencies, no matter from where you look. From latin through underground, Elio’s world has always been touched by every kind of musical styles. He is a man of unequal dignity who brings his experience up to another level.

Elio mixes the soul of house with what the crowd cries out when feeling like taking off from the ground. Elio’s payback is towards people, asuring himself they are having a great time. Without limits, he has an eclectic runaway spirit, may it be in Mint Lounge or Sunset from Argentina as well as in Mao Room, Space and Privilege where he is a resident Dj in Ibiza. He has taken music towards numerous places around America.

When he is not playing, his music floats in the air simply because his friends – Steve Lawler - are playing his songs (edited as Cutlab).

Having been brought up in Buenos Aires, the capital city of house music, Elio has always been in contact with those cities in the cost of Argentina, Pinamar.

He also played in Colombia, Chile and Peru where his sounds have traspassed people’s hearts. Elio is part of a group named - consisting purely of musicians and Djs, without mentioning that he’s A&R and Producer of To Be Records, reaching in this way a high point in his career.

He has produced and remixed Amistad, Spacey Bongo & Space Allocation for Black Flag Records from Detroit (property of Stacey Pullen); Loud Kissing, Right Now! And Alpha for Big Chief-Syntax from New York; and some traks in England for Harlem Records by Steve Lawler. Elio worked for Low Pressing by Clive Henry (Peace Division) and for Bass Walk from Miami, USA. Apart from that, he has edited for BMG, EMI, Virgin, Universal, Sony Music, Wea, Edel, Sum Records, Music Brokers (Argentina), Dro East West, Mercury, Barsa Prod (Spain), Leader Music (Chile) and Building Records (Brazil).

During the Balearic summer 2003, Elio started a new stage in his career as a Dj with big benefits that launched him right into the centre of the Argentinian scene and put him within the best Djs around the world. We could appreciate his work in the incredible opening night of Space, together with Mao Rooms (China White), Circoloco @ Dc10 and the Going, Going & Gone! Party at La Diosa, which Danny Tenaglia and Steve Lawler didn’t want to miss.

Not only with Wally Lopez but also with Silicone Soul, Kevin Robinson and Clive Henry did he share night after night. Repercution did not wait, so he found himself as a resident Dj in parties such as More & More Sunset where he received George Morel, Jose de Divina, Tania Vulcano, Sebastian Gamboa and Danny Chatelain during the summer 2003-2004.

Elio’s busy agenda also includes the warm-ups in Subliminar Parties where George Morel and Who Da Funk? played in the coast of Argentina (January 2004). Just to spice up his career, the Space World Tour had him as the official resident in Argentina and Chile (Pucon, Consepcion, Santiago).

Being ready for Winter Music Conference (WMC) Edition 2004, Elio received a confirmation to a new EP for Clive Henry’s label (Low Pressings) and some remixes for Bass Walk. Undoubtely, 2004 was a critical year for this talented producer & Dj, considering that he will present To Be Records –of which the distribution business will be in charge of Codigo Records de Tarragona, Spain.

During the summer 2004 (June-Oct.) it was no surprise to find him every Tuesday (Carl Cox) on the terrace (Premier etage) in Space, every Friday in Pacha Hotel, each Thursday in Privilege (Groove on Groove – Morel), and each Sunday in Space again (We love…Sunday). We could also listened to his radio programme “More and More with Elio Riso” on Ibiza Global Radio 97.6 FM from 10 to 11 PM (Summer 2004).

He started this year in Chile participating in We love Space party; sharing his set with Slacker (UK) he continued playing in Mint Uruguay (Punta del Este), and in Nokia Beach where he played with Nathan Coles. Elio presented a CD containing his latest productions playing in Ku (Pinamar) for the beer brand Isembeck. Adding to that, he shared the set with Cue (Space-Amika-MIAMI) and Tania Vulcano (Circo Loco/Ibiza).

He released several productions during this 2005 for well-known cigarette brands such as Marlboro and Parliament, among others. This year, Elio Riso was in Brazil during February, again in Bogota, Colombia in March (4 Rooms, Gotica), and in WMC (Miami). He was also in Sunset (Alternative Rooms) in April, and warming up the Heineken night in Museum when Pete Tong (UK) came to Argentina.

This is when Pete Tong puts in his Essential new tune rank To Be or Not To Be, a track by Elio Riso and Ruffunk. This means that 2005 can be a great year in his career as a producer. Resident Space only Summer 2005.
