Lackluster has been played on NTS in shows including Meandyou, featured first on 10 April 2013. Songs played include Pillow, Cull Streak and Swirl.

Born Esa Juhani Ruoho, October 26, 1978, in Helsinki, Finland, started producing music at the age of 15 - back in 1994. Has spent 21 years of his life in Kontula, Eastern Helsinki, Finland - but also traveling in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and Dublin, Ireland for 6 months and 20 months. Starting with trackers, Esa has kept the up-down vibe and also branched out to left-right transmutations when it comes to step sequencers - preferring a mix of vertical trackers and horizontal sequencers, and jamming on top of that with other forms of note-stepping, a mixture that is both static and out of control. Releasing his stuff on netlabels, real life record labels and digital download labels has led to a decade of compilation tracks, remixes, singular trax and ep's and records. And then there's the live performances.
