Catherine Ribeiro, born in Lyon in 1941, died in Martigues, 2024, was a French singer. Ribeiro was an experimental folk and avant garde performer. With her band Catherine Ribeiro + Alpes she released several albums in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including Catherine Ribeiro & 2Bis 1969, №2 in 1970, Paix in 1972 and has continued to perform and release records ever since. Among her biggest fans is the French mathematician Cédric Villani.
