The Golden Filter hosted a guest show on 3 November 2017. The Golden Filter has been played on NTS over 40 times, featured on 39 episodes and was first played on 29 September 2015.

The Golden Filter are an electronic duo formed in 2008 in New York City, now based in London, UK. Vocalist Penelope Trappes grew up in New South Wales, Australia, while electronic and analogue synth programmer Stephen Hindman is originally from Ohio, USA. Before being The Golden Filter, the duo were called Lismore, named after Penelope Trappes' hometown in NSW.

After the EPs "Solid Gold" and "Thunderbird" (both 2009), their debut album Voluspa was released in 2010 through Brille Records, which was followed by the albums Syndromes (2011) and "Still // Alone" (2017).

They have also released official remixes of Yeasayer, Empire of the Sun, Little Boots, Peter Bjorn and John, UNKLE, and Cut Copy.
