Quartz has been played on NTS over 20 times, featured on 19 episodes and was first played on 15 November 2015.

Quartz were established in 1988, consisting of Dave Rawlings and Ronnie Herel. They took their name from the Technics quartz direct drive turntable system. In 1992 the pair eventually parted company to pursue separate careers.
