1
ATLANTA
21:00 - 22:00

Georgia-based underground icon Cartier'God plays only original productions in this guest hour, floating somewhere between house rap, cloud rap, and experimental pop.

2
Los Angeles
21:00 - 22:00

Tana Yonas collects songs like souvenirs, each recalling precious moments found leafing through dusty foreign record shops or catching sonic fragments weathered by time from the radio of bumpy taxi rides. Listen as she delicately guilds together these memories and shares music from lesser known and under represented musical traditions from across the globe and decades.

Toresch

Toresch has been played on NTS over 40 times, featured on 44 episodes and was first played on 1 December 2015.

Düsseldorf based Toresch were formed in 2014 when Gregor Jansen of Kunsthalle asked Detlef Weinrich, Viktoria Wehrmeister and Jan Wagner to collaborate on a performance at Düsseldorf's Das Fest in 2014. The trio played live at the Salon as part of the festival, with Wehrmeister on vocals, Weinrich on machines and Wagner coordinating the visual side of the performance.

Weinrich is a resident DJ at Düsseldorf’s Salon Des Amateurs club, where his idiosyncratic sets were once described by Resident Advisor as “the stuff of local legend”. He also records as Tolouse Low Trax and is a member of post-kosmische electro-acoustic band Kreidler.

Wehrmeister meanwhile is a Mexico-born sculptor and artist who also played in the band La! Neu? with Klaus Dinger, the inventor of the motorik groove. Live, Weinrich and Wehrmeister are augmented by the visuals of artist Wagner, director of the Filmwerkstatt in Düsseldorf. The recordings for their debut mini-album Essen Fur Alle were enhanced by the mixing and editing of Gordon Pohl from the Kunstkopf label
