Μίμης Πλέσσας has been played on NTS in shows including A Strange Attractor w/ Fortuna Records, featured first on 3 March 2016. Songs played include Karagouna (Thessalian Dance) / Καραγκούνα (Θεσσαλικός Χορός), Tria Pedia (Dance Of Volos) / Τρία Παιδιά (Βολιώτικος Χορός) and Yalo Na Pas (Dance Of Zante) / Γυαλό Να Πας (Ζακυνθινός Χορός).

Born on 12 October 1924 in Athens(Greece). In very early age became the first piano soloist in the Greek Radio. In 1952, at the age of just 27 years, was honored with a top prize of music at the University of Minnesota, and the next year ranked fifth pianist in the United States. In 1952 also began his activities in the composition.

He has collaborated with a plethora of top singers, many of whom brought them through songs. It also addressed the composition of music for films and theatre, having behind him 104 films and 70 shows. He has managed many of the major orchestras in the world.

The Mimis Plessas has been honored repeatedly, both domestically and abroad. Altogether has received six distinctions in Greece and seven international distinctions (Barcelona, Warsaw, Belgium, Italy (Monte Alto), USA, Paris and Tokyo). It also take both gold and platinum discs. Some examples include:

* 1951 Takes the top prize of music at the University of Minnesota. * 1952 He was the fifth pianist in the United States. * 2000 Honoured for his 50 years contribution to Greek music and culture from the Municipality of Athens with the awarding of the "Gold Medal of the City" in a big symfoniki concert at the Athens Concert Hall. * 2001 Award of the Gold Cross of the Order of Phoenix for his contributions to culture, from the Greek President. * 2002 Honoured for 50 years in Greek music scene to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus from the Ministry of Culture. * 2004 Honoured as the "Man of the Year" by the Greek minister of culture and dignitaries at a ceremony for his contributions to world culture. * 2006 Honoured from the Personalities Academy for the supply of the culture.
